The ICOM F21GM is a GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service) radio that also includes 7 shared FRS (Family Radio Service) channels. Enjoy both functionalities in one radio! Experience personal communications with more features, power and range. Here is the perfect communications solution for sportsman, families, clubs, hobbies, boating, camping, fishing, hunting - wherever you go where you need more power than typical FRS radios offer. At maximum power (4 watts) you will get 8 times more power than standard FRS. Increase your range up to 5 miles plus miles outdoors (actual range will vary depending on operating environment, topography and weather conditions).
More channels too! With the popularity of FRS, many of those channels are busy. Choose from 15 higher power GMRS channels to locate a quiet channel for your use. 7 channels are shared with FRS channels. You can also communicate with regular FRS radios on these 7 channels. Operation is simple. All channels are preprogrammed internally. You simply select the ones you want to assign to the channel selector. You can do this programming yourself. A dual colored LED flashes to show various radio functions.
This radio includes the BP-222N NiCad battery pack, BC-146 charger, MB-103 belt clip, BC-147A AC adapter and FA-SC57U flexible antenna. Click here for specifications.
