The SGC MINI LINI™ made its public premier at the 2005 Dayton Hamvention. The patent-pending MINI LINI™ has 500 watt output and weighs only 4 pounds including the AC power supply. It is compact enough to hold in one hand. It is extremely efficient due to its unique design based on the innovative use of Class E technology. Class E linear technology is fairly new to the amateur radio field, but these techniques have been proven through years of use in the broadcast industry. This technology is capable of efficiency close to 90%! The high effeciency offers many advantages; in fact, the heat produced is less than 1/6 that of a conventional linear amplifier at the same output power. And, AC power consumption is about 1/3 less than a conventional amplifier. This means that the MINI LINI will work well on any normal 120 VAC outlet, drawing only 8 amps! This amp has three types of fault protection: Overcurrent, excessive drive power and temperature. Click here for side view. Click here for view without module. 5 x 6 x 8 inches 5 lbs. The MINI LINI™ operates on amateur bands via interchangeable plug-in modules. The standard unit [#0479] is supplied with the 20 meter module. Additional modules for 160, 80, 40, 17 and 15 meters will be sold separately (see below).
