The installation of the UT-106 shown above does not require soldering or special tools. However, ICOM America and Universal Radio recommend that you have an authorized ICOM dealer install the UT-106 option into your radio as ICOM America and Universal Radio cannot accept responsibility for any damage that may occur to the UT-106 or to the radio during user installation.
