The Hammarlund HQ-145A general coverage receiver tunes shortwave in four bands:   .54-1.6, 1.6-4, 4-10, 10-30 MHz. Other enhancements include:  antenna trimmer, noise limiter, Slot Filter, Flywheel Tuning, RF gain, S-meter, stand-by and AVC (Off/Slow/Medium/Fast). This radio does not have a built in speaker. There are 3.2 ohm speaker terminals on the rear panel. The suggested optional speaker is the S-200. This HQ-145A model is similar to the earlier HQ-145 model but added a hinged cover and pre-punched hole for an SO-239 jack. 117 VAC 60 Hz. 19 x 10.5 x 13 inches.

The model Hammarlund HQ-145AC features a clock-timer (shown above).

The model Hammarlund HQ-145AX has 11 fixed crystal positions (six external and five internal).
