The Yaesu FT-8500FS10 dual band mobile has a very unique feature. Every feature of this dual-bander can be controlled by the supplied, all-in-one, FS10 smart mic; even volume and squelch. Other features include:  alpha-numeric display on both bands, extended receive with air, spectrum display, 9600 bps ready, digital voltage display and auto mute. Power output on 2 meters is 50, 10 or 5 watts. Output on 440 MHz is 35, 10 or 5 watts. This radio requires 13.8 VDC at 11.5 amps.

This radio came in two versions. The Yaesu FT-8500FS10 (shown above) included the FS10 smart mic. The Yaesu FT-8500MH39 version included the MH39 mic.
