The Drake SP75 speech processor increases average power and reliability on single sideband voice signals under adverse conditions. The SP-75 is connected between the mic and mic input on the radio. A front panel switch allows the unit to be switched in or bypassed as conditions warrant. The amount of RF envelope clipping is adjustable between zero and 20.
