The ICOM M88 offers functionality, features and unparalleled battery life and power. It is built with military ruggedness [MIL810 C-D-E] and features JIS-7 submersible construction. Its surprisingly small size that fits your hand, but boasts a full 5 watts output.
Operation is simple to operate with six buttons clearly labeled on the front. It can even be operated with gloves. The large backlit LCD is very clear. The state-of-the-art 1700 mAH Li-Ion battery provides extra long life ... up to 15 hours (5:5:90 Tx:Rx:Standby). You get all American, Canadian and international marine channels. Plus 22 free channels for land use (146-174 MHz) (appropriate license may be required). The M88 supports both Priority and Normal scan modes. You also get the NOAA weather channels with auto weather scan and weather alert. Other refinements include: key lock, battery indicator, three level power output and self-check.
This radio includes the BP-227 Lithium Ion battery pack, MB-86 swivel belt clip, wrist strap and BC-152 drop-in slow charger and BC147A power adapter for the BC-152.
