The BC 296D features a powerful feature called Service Search. The radio is preprogrammed for the twelve most commonly used services around the U.S. During the search the lowest display line will indicate the name of the service you are searching. You can even set the scanner to skip unwanted frequencies during Service Search (up to 100 frequencies).
