The Sony ICF-SC1 is a capable scanner covering 25 to 1300 MHz (less cellular) in AM, FM-N and FM-W modes. It has 300 memory channels. The Intelligent Active Memory System memorizes a frequency which has been received for five seconds or longer. Other features include:  backlit LCD, key lock and skip function. Scanning modes include:  Band Scanning, Programmable Scanning, Memory Scanning, Intelligent Memory Scanning and Priority Scanning. The controls are easy to use and you also get one button access to nice public service categories (police, fire emergency, VHF air, UHF air, marine, FM broadcast, VHF TV sound and UHF TV sound).

Supplied with AC power adapter, earphone, belt holder, BNC antenna, Frequency Guide and Owner's Manual. Requires four AA cells.

The Sony ICF-SC1PC is similar to the ICF-SC1, but additionally has bi-directional PC interface supporting search and control capability from a computer. Computer CD ROM (with 3 million records!) and serial PC interface cable (DB9) are both supplied with the ICF-SC1PC.
