The La Crosse Technology WS-8015U forecast station may be hung on a wall or used free standing. It can receive as many as three remotes (one TX4U remote temperature sensor is included). It calculates sun/moon rise/set based on the entered city name (choose from 250 North American cities). It features radio-controlled time and date plus temperature alarm for remote temperatures and a storm warning indicator. The clock may be set for 12 or 24 hour format. This wireless system uses 433.92 MHz with a transmission range of up to 80 feet in open air. Also measures outdoor humidty in the range: 20% to 95% with +/-3 accuracy.

The receiver requires three AA cells and the remote requires two AA cells (not supplied).
