The Selena VEF-214 is a shortwave receiver made in Latvia. This analog radio displays the frequencies in meters. It has a band selection switch on the right side that selects: AB [LW], CB [MW], KB1 [25 M], KB2 [31 M], KB3 [49 M] and YKB [Russian FM band 65.8-74 MHz]. The left side of the radio has jacks for Record Out and Earphone. The rear panel antenna/ground jacks and a battery compartment for six D cells (not supplied) and operates from 120 VAC with suplied cord. Also has a photo copy of manual of the similar VEF 215-217 which is in Russian/English. The product label indicates the model (and other stuff ... but who knows?). Plays well, but some scratchyness in controls. A great radio for your next vacation to Irkutsk. [04/06] |

The rear panel of the radio has jacks for Record Out and Earphone as well as antenna/ground terminals. This radio plays well from six D cells (not supplied). We believe the set is currently wired for 220 Volts, but we do not have the AC cord and cannot confirm this. [04/06] |
