Experimental Methods
in RF Design

By Wes Hayward W7ZOI, Ric Campbell KK7B and Bob Larkin W7PUA.
This book explores wide dynamic range, low distortion radio equipment, the use of direct conversion and phasing methods as serious communications architecture and a hands-on embracing of digital signal processing. The amateur bands up to 2 meters are considered and are illustrated with CW and SSB gear. The book does uses some mathematics where appropriate, but it is kept to a basic level. The text is geared to a variety of readers. A Windows CD ROM is included featuring design software, listings for DSP firmware, and supplementary articles. A.R.R.L. 512 pages. This is the revised and fully updated first edition version printed in 2009. List price $49.95.
