Drake FS-4

The Drake FS-4 frequency synthesizer was developed for use with Drake "4" line equipment including the SPR4, R-4 and T-4X series. The FS-4 plugs into an unused auxiliary crystal socket in the rear of receiver or transmitter and will supply the various injection signals to the equipment and allows continuous coverage without utilizing the accessory range crystals. The three knobs switch the frequency range in 500 kHz steps and provides direct frequency display in MHz directly above each knob. These knobs switch the frequency in steps of 10 MHz, 1 MHz and 500 kHz from left to right. The 500 kHz knob also turns the device on or off. This supplied a 20 inch injection cable features an RCA plug to connect to the rear panel of the FS-4. The other end of this cable has a single pin and a ground terminal. It connects to an unused crystal socket and to ground.

The 120/240 VAC 50/60 Hz. Fuse for 120 VAC is 3AG type 1/8 amp Slo-Blo. 7.5 x 3.5 x 10.5 inches.

Please note that an accessory modification kit is required for use with the SPR4. Additionally, the 9.6 MHz reference crystal in the FS-4 must be replaced with a 9.59 MHz reference crystal.
