The Kenwood IF-232C interface fasciliates the connection of a personal computer to the R-5000. This device acts as an interface between the radio and the DB25 RS-232C serial port of a computer. It is essentially a voltage converter between RS232 level (-12 to +12V) signals of the computer and the TTL levels (0 to +5V) of the radio. This comes with a DC power cord. It requires the Kenwood AC-10 power supply or equivalent 13.8 VDC 150mA supply. 5.375 x 1.7 x 4.5 inches. 1.1 Lb.
Please note that this device will not operate with the R-5000 unless the optional IC-10 Serial Chip Set is also installed inside the R-5000.
