The Hallicrafters PM-23 features a Hallicrafters-Jensen 10 inch speaker. It is designed for use with the larger Hallicrafters receivers such as the SX-28, SX-28A and SX-42. This permanent magnet type speaker with coupling transformer matches the 5000 ohm output of the receiver. The speaker opening is concealed by an attractive metal grill. This speaker was introduced in 1939. The chrome "h" on the front was deleted during speakers produced during World War II.
