The Hallicrafters R-44 features a 6 x 9 inch oval speaker in a large enclosure. There is a switch on the front panel to select Communications or High Fidelity response. There is a 500 ohm terminal output on the rear panel. 18.5 x 8.5 x 9.7 inches.

The R-44 was designed as a matching companion for the the SX-43, but will work with many other Hallicrafters models including the SX-25, SX-28 and SX-42.
