The Electra Bearcat DX1000 is a multi-mode receiver covering 10 kHz to 30 MHz in AM, LSB, USB, CW and FM modes. The DX1000 provides three bandwidths (12/6/2.7 kHz). It features: S-Meter, Attenuator, Tone, Mute Line, Noise Blanker, AGC, Fine Tuning, Record Jack, Dual 24 Hour Clock, Squelch, Dimmer, Two Tuning Rates, 10 Memories, Keypad and Tilt Carry Handle.

The rear panel has antenna inputs for coaxial or hi-Z wire antennas. Requires three AA cells for clock/memory backup. Operates from 120VAC or external 12 VDC. Also may be operated from eight D cells. 14.5 x 5 x 9.5 inches 17.6 lbs. (370x130x250 mm).
