The Target HF3 provides continuous coverage from 30 kHz to 30 MHz in AM, USB and LSB modes. It comes with two bandwidths: 6 kHz for AM reception and 3.8 kHz for SSB. There is a bar graph type signal indicator on the LCD. The back panel has an attenuator switch and an RCA phono jack for antenna input. Built-in speaker. Made in England.

The Target HF3M version featured enhancements such as, stainless steel flip stand, ten memories and integrated weather fax interface, DOS FAX software on 3.5 inch diskette and serial computer cable to feed fax data to a PC for display.
