The Hammarlund HQ-170A amateur band receiver tunes only the amateur bands:  1.8-2, 3.5-4, 7-7.3, 14-14.4, 21-21.6, 28-30 and 50-54 MHz. This radio does not have a built in speaker. There are 3.2 ohm speaker terminals on the rear panel. The suggested optional speaker is the S-200. 117 VAC 60 Hz 120W. 19 x 10.5 x 13 inches 38 lbs. (45 lbs. ship).

The model Hammarlund HQ-170AC features a clock-timer (shown above).

The model Hammarlund HQ-170AC-VHF adds coverage of the 2 meter band.
