The Hammarlund HQ-205 general coverage tunes from 540 to 30000 kHz in four ranges. The amateur bands are all bandspread. A BFO facilitates SSB/CW tuning. A Q-multiplier operates independently of the BFO. Other enhancements include:  noise limiter, RF gain, S-meter, stand-by and AVC on/off. This receiver additionally has a built in CB transmitter with five internal crystal positions and one on the front panel. This radio does not have a built in speaker. There are 3.2 Ohm speaker terminals and a microphone jack on the rear panel. The suggested optional speaker is the S-205
