The Kenwood VC-20 VHF Converter is made exclusively for the R-5000. Installation is simple. Remove the plate on the back panel of the R-5000 and carefully slide-in and connect the VC-20. It provides its own SO-239 antenna input. The R-5000 will now additionally tune 108-174 MHz in all modes. The full frequency will display on the R-5000.
