The Yaesu FTM-3207DR is a ruggedly built, compact C4FM/FM "440" UHF mobile transceiver, providing up to 55 Watts to ensure stable long-distance communications. Thanks to a heavy-duty heat sink that includes exclusive FACC (Funnel Air-Convention Conductor) Wind Tunnel, the design of this mobile ensures stable and reliable performance for long-lasting communications. The Front-Facing Speaker delivers 3 Watts of clear audio - even in noisy environments. As with other YAESU C4FM transceivers, the FTM-3207DR incorporates the Automatic Mode Select (AMS) function - allowing all operators to enjoy seamless communications between conventional FM analog and C4FM digital users. The enhanced Digital Group Monitor (GM) function and DG-ID/DP-ID operation are also available. Utilizing the DG-ID/DP-ID, operators can configure the radio for group communications in the UHF band according to their operational preferences and requirements. Other useful features included as standard are: a bright multi-colored LED Mode/Status Indicator; 220 memory channels with alpha-numeric labels; DG-ID (Digital Group/Digital Personal ID/DP-ID) signaling; CTCSS/DCS encode/decode with split Tone and DCS encode-only capability; Wires-X/HRI-200 control functionality; and EPCS (Enhanced Paging & Code Squelch Operation). While the new FTM-3207DR is a solid and durable transceiver in keeping with Yaesu’s legendary mechanical toughness, it also incorporates new technology such as Automatic Mode Select (AMS), one of the most advanced features of System Fusion. The AMS mode instantly recognizes whether a transmission is digital or analog, and appropriately switches the operating mode to allow flawless co-existence of both digital and analog users. The versatile FTM-3207DR transceiver also utilizes the ever-popular Digital Group Monitor (GM) function; a terrific asset allowing users to see at a glance if registered members of a group are within communication range. A front panel LED indicates the transceiver's mode of operation with the received signal indicated by Blue for digital C4FM or Green for analog FM.
Please note that this model does not support connectivity to the HRI-200 as a WiRES-X Node Station nor accessibility to a Digital WiRES-X Node Station as a client. The FTM-3207DR does allow operators to access an analog WiRES-X Node Station as a client. The FTM-3207DR comes with MH-48A6JA DTMF Microphone, USB Cable, Mounting Bracket, DC Power Cord, Operating Manual, Safety Guide and Warranty Card. Protected by three year limited manufacturer's warranty. Click here to view FTM-3200DR 2 meter version of this radio.
