The Yaesu FT-712RH 70 cm "440" mobile FM transceiver takes full advantage of the latest refinements in automated manufacturing and microprocessor control. The USA Version (A) operates from 430 to 450 MHz with 5 MHz shift. It provides RF power out at 3 or 35 watts. 18 regular memories, 1 call channel and 2 sub-band limit memories are available. Channel steps are selectable at: 5, 10, 12.5, 20 or 25 kHz. The optional DVS-1 Digital voice unit permits digital voice recording and playback. The rear panel has an inline N female antenna jack. This radio requires 13.8 VDC at 10 amps. (140x40x160mm 1.25 kg). A hand mic is supplied.

The Yaesu FT-212RH is similar to the FT-712RH but covers the 144-148 MHz (2 meters) band instead of 440 meters. RF power output is 5 or 50 watts. This radio requires 13.8 VDC at 10 Amps.
