The Kenwood TR-7930 offers great versatility and has one of the largest and clearest displays ever. It can be well read even in sunlight. Power output may be selected at 5 or 25 watts. You get 21 multi-function memory channels and lithium battery backup. Pre-programmed automatic repeater offset allows for easy repeater operation. An optional TU-79 three channel sub-tone unit mounts internally. The front panel keyboard acts as 16 key DTMF autopatch encoder. The keypad can also be used to change frequency. Receive coverage is 142-148.995 kHz in 5 kHz steps supporting MARS/CAP frequencies. 6.785 x 2.5 x 8.125 inches 4 lbs. Requires 13.8 VDC at 6.5 amps. The Kenwood TR-7950 (shown above) is similar to the TR-7930 but the TR-7950 delivers 5 or 45 watts. Requires 13.8VDC at 9.5 amps. 6.785 x 2.5 x 8.75 inches 4.2 lbs.
