![]() The revolutionary COMPACtenna HamR-8 meets the growing need for a multi-band HF/VHF antenna for limited spaces such as attics, closets, crawl spaces and patios. It is a good choice for a usable antenna in HOA’s, condominiums and apartments. The Ham-R8 uses a patented design which includes magnetic-field-enhancement. This allows the 46 inch tall antenna to perform amazingly well for its height. Amazing eight band coverage includes: 75, 40, 20, 10, 6 plus 2 meters and 220 and 440 MHz! Power capacity is 100 Watts on all bands.
This break-through antenna was developed by Dr. Jack Nilsson N8NDL.
It features a multi-faceted geometric design including ‘extended flat monofilar spiral Tesla-like coils’ that: This antenna employs a unique magnetic field resonator (for less receiver noise), and features Electric/Magnetic Field Diversity Science & Technology design. This provides superior performance in non-line-of-sight obstructed environments, such as buildings, hills, in valley location, and indoor installations. This technology provides for a unique low-cost easy installation base station antenna in an attic as well as a variety of limited-space locations. The HamR-8 antenna require a 3/8"-24 mount not included (see below). This antenna may be used successfully with a very small ground plane. A simple 3/8x24 magnetic mount can be set on a 36 by 48 inch galvanized metal plate (available from Home Depot) or even a metal table! (Standard technology antennas typically require much larger ground plane counterpoise structures).
(V)SWR: Nominal < ~2:1 3.9-3.95 (75 Meters*), 7.15 - 7.25 MHz (40 Meters*), 14.1 - 14.3 MHz (20 Meters*), 28 - 28.7 MHz (10 Meters*), 50-54 MHz (6 Meters), 144-148 MHz (2 Meters); 219-225 MHz (220 MHz); 420-450 MHz (440 MHz) The magnetic mount shown above is not included. The result is a compact, yet effective antenna for a variety of applications. One year limited mfg. warranty. Each antenna is quality tested. Made in the U.S.A. _ _
