Multiband Antenna
The Chameleon V1L is a rugged multiband HF antenna that can be erected in a minimum of time and space in a variety of mounting configurations. The antenna must be used in conjunction with either the CHA HYBRID or the CHA CAUM to perform adequately. An external antenna tuner is also required.
An 8 foot 10 inch whip made of 7075 alloy and stainless steel, consisting of two screw together sections, will be mounted atop of the selected base unit. All exposed metallic surfaces are either aluminum anodized or stainless steel. The core of the V1L antenna is made of aerospace 7075 alloys tubing.
This antenna will cover 10 to 80 meters with the HYBRID or the CAUM.
The V1L will cover 70 cm, 2 meters and 6 meters as a stand alone antenna.
Power capacity is 500 watts SSB. The RF and mounting connection is 3/8-24 thread. Weight is 1 pound.
