The Hallicrafters SR-400 Cyclone amateur transceiver covers 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 meters (28.5-29 MHz furnished and 3 positions optional) in CW, LSB and USB modes. Power is 400 watts input SSB PEP and 360 watts CW. Features include: RIT, receive-only antenna jack, 2 kHz dial accuracy, gear driven tuning, crystal calibrator, VOX, RIT and RF Gain. The ¼ inch code key input jack is on the rear panel.
The finals are a pair of 6HF5 tubes. 15 x 6.5 x 13" 22 lbs.
For base operation the PS-500 external power supply with speaker is required.
The Hallicrafters SR-400 Cyclone III was later production with 550 watts input SSB PEP and the HA-60 cooling fan was factory installed.
