The Yaesu FTV-250 is a 2 meter transverter converter covering 144-148 MHz in SSB, AM, CW and FM modes. Output frequency is 28-30 MHz. Transmitter power is 12 watts PEP SSB, 10 watts on CW and 4 watts on AM and FM. The front panel controls are easy use and lamps indicate band in use: HF, 6m (if FTV-650B present) or 2m. 110/110/117/200/220/234 VAC or 13.5 VDC 2.6 Amps.

It is designed to match several Yaesu transmitters and transceivers including the FT-101Z.
