The Drake T-4X is an HF amateur band transmitter covering 80 through 10 meters. Four additional crystal sockets are available for 500 kHz ranges from 1.8-30 MHz (except 2.3-3, 5-6 and 11-11.5 MHz). Modes include USB, LSB, CW and AM. Input power is 200 watts CW, 260 watts AM/SSB. The VFO provides 1 kHz dial accuracy. VOX or PTT may be selected.
This radio requires the AC-3 AC power supply or the DC-3 power supply. 10.75 x 5.5 x 11.675".
The Drake T-4 is a similar radio, but only operates with the R-4 or R-4A in transceive mode or crystal controlled.
