The Yaesu FT-73R is similar to the FT-23R, but covers the 440 MHz band instead of 2 meters. Frequency coverage is 430 to 440 MHz. or 440 to 450 MHz. RF power output is 2 to 5 watts depending on battery used. It features and LCD display, 10 memories, scanning, 1 MHz up/down step and priority channel. Available with optional FTT-4 DTMF pad.

This HT came with:  NiCad battery, charger and BNC flexible antenna. Size: 55x139x49mm 430g.

The Yaesu FT-23R is similar, but operates on the 2 meter band instead of the 70 cm band.
