The INRAD DMS686 has a flat audio response for accurate reproduction of voice spoken into the microphone with 50 Hz - 15 kHz response, metal frame and element ball hood. Flat overall response across all vocal frequencies without a boost a specific frequencies to cut the lows or highs down. An excellent all-purpose microphone that can be used with just about any HF transceiver. Clean, clear SSB transmit audio at a nice price!

The M686 mic is can be used with modern Icom transceivers:  IC-746Pro, 756ProI/II/III, 7300, 7600, 7610, 7700, 7800, 7850, 7851, 9100 and 9700. (Earlier Icom models not listed above utilized significantly lower microphone gain than the modern transceivers and are are unsuitable for use with INRAD© dynamic microphones).
