![]() The Heil PR 35v2 features the large-diameter, high-clarity element from the PR 30 mic so popular in the live sound world. The cardioid pattern offers the greatest rejection of unwanted audio at 180 degrees off axis, which is directly behind the microphone; there is virtually no off-axis coloration. This makes the PR 35 particularly attractive for use in Amateur transmitters, though, is its three-position low-end roll-off switch, which allows the operator to set the low-end roll-off point at 40 Hz (off), 60 Hz, or 120 Hz. Thus the operator can tweak the bass response for best results on the air. The PR 35 enclosure includes a soft-touch rubberized outer coating that will stay looking new for years to come, and we think this is going to be an outstanding addition to many stations throughout the world, particularly those with high-end transceivers like the Icom IC-7800 and Pro series, and the Yaesu FTdx9000 and FT-2000/950, etc. This latest upgraded version improves already impressive rear rejection to -42dB. A concealed two-position roll off switch replaces the former thumb switch. Visually, the new PR 35 harkens to a time when wired handheld vocal mics had a certain "look" and could be identified when seen on camera. The PR 35 ships with three interchangeable colored trim collars that can be mixed and matched. Supplied with a microphone clip that mounts to any 5/8"- 27 mic thread. The PR 35 also includes a leatherette carrying case. Fitted with the industry-standard 3-pin XLR connector, the new PR 35 works with CC-1-XLR series of adapter cables (sold separately).
