SO-239 to SMA Male Cable

You have a problem. Your scanner or HT has an SMA antenna jack. But your base or mobile antenna has a PL-259 plug. What can you do? Well, you could buy an SO-239 to SMA adapter. That will work, but it puts physical stress on the radio's antenna connector. The smarter answer is the Associated SO-239 to SMA cable assembly. This cable is made with 4 feet (1.2 m) of low loss LMR-100 cable ... not high loss RG174!. (Click here to see the attenuation difference between LMR100 and RG174 coax.) It has an inline SO-239 jack at one end and a SMA male at the other end. Works great and there is no stress on your radio's antenna jack.
