The Bearcat BCD536HP is Uniden's mobile scanner incorporates two firsts. Like the BCD436HP, it is the first mobile scanner to include the ease of use of the HomePatrol-style database. Simply enter your zip code and away you go. The second innovation is WiFi connectivity. Now you listen to and control your scanner using your smartphone or tablet from anywhere! You get full 31 band frequency coverage.

Uniden now offers the NXDN mode as a paid BCD536HP upgrade.
This upgrade allows you to program these scanners to trunk track NXDN 4800 and NXDN 9600 systems, as well as NXDN Single-Channel Trunking and Icom’s IDAS¸™ trunking. Also, in conventional mode, this upgrade allows you to select the RAN and Area for NXDN transmissions. This upgrade is available directly from Uniden.
