The MFJ-8218 (PLL MR-318A) portable receiver is designed with the aeronautical enthusiast in mind. This three band digital radio receives AM 520-1720 kHz in 10 kHz steps, FM stereo 87.3-108.1 MHz in 100 kHz steps and the VHF air band from 108-140 MHz in 25 kHz steps.

The top of the radio features switches for Power On/Off, FM stereo/mono, Speaker On/Off and Lock. The Lock switch deactivates the tuning, band and memory buttons. A total of 30 memory presets are available (ten per band). Operates from two AA cells (not supplied) or an external 3 VDC [Center Neg.] source. Audio output to the built in speaker is 80 mW and 15/15 mW to the 3.5 mm stereo earphone jack.

Stereo ear buds are included. 5.2 x 3 x 1 inches (130x70x30 mm).
