This multi-mission compact portable receives AM (520-1710 kHz), FM 87.5-108 MHz and all seven NOAA weather channels. The "quad power" FRX-4 has a built-in wind-up dynamo, solar cells, a heavy duty 1000 mAh Li-ion battery and will also accept 3 AAA batteries (not included). If the FRX4 is in the sun the built-in solar panel will charge the battery fully in 5-6 hours. Crank the hand turbine for four minutes and you will produce enough power for 10-15 minutes of music, news and weather or one minute of talk time. Fully charged the FRX4 will provide a 50% charge to most smartphones. You can also use the micro-USB cable to fully charge the built-in rechargeable battery in two hours or less. It even features a USB smart phone charging port. And you won't be left in the dark. With its super bright LED flashlight with dimmer, red emergency beacon and the cool glow-in-the-dark locator, the FRX4 will light up the night. Because this radio is IPX4 splashproof rating, it is a great outdoor companion (Not waterproof, do not submerse).
