The AOR WL500 acts like a signal "magnet" capturing and amplifying transmissions in the 3.5 to 30 MHz range. Up to 16dB of gain can be realized, using a 9 volt battery (supplied) or an external 12VDC power source (optional).

With a diameter of about 2 feet, the diamond-shaped antenna can hang freely in a window. You'll be amazed as your receiver comes alive with distant signals from points around the globe. If you add the optional 500LM directional bar element, you can achieve reception on medium wave and long wave.

Assembly is simple. In a matter of just a few minutes, you can have a powerful antenna performing as your "window to the world!" Connection to your receiver is achieved through a standard BNC connector (provided). Disassembly is also easy, with the WL500 fitting into a compact travel bag, ready to travel wherever you go. The WL500 operates from a 12 VDC [center positive] and features a 20 inch (50 cm) BNC to BNC coaxial jumper cable. The antenna system consists of: loop, control box, cable from control box to loop, cable from control box to receiver [BNC]. (If your radio accepts a PL-259, then use the optional BNC-PL259 adapter #2124).
