The Kaito KA31 is an active shortwave, wire loop antenna that covers 3.9 to 22 MHz. The KA31 has dual outputs. If your portable shortwave radio has an 1/8 inch mini antenna jack you can plug this antenna directly in. For shortwave radios without an antenna jack, you also get simple clips for direct connection the radio's telescopic whip antenna. The control box has an LED to remind you when the antenna is turned on. There is a Tuning Knob on the control box that should be adjusted as you change frequency. This antenna is designed for indoor use only. The KA31 requires two AAA cells (not provided).
