The Apex Radio 700DTA is a compact active antenna specifically designed to provide good medium wave and shortwave reception when large external antennas are not practical. The compact 700DTA employs a Hi-Q manual tuning circuit plus a high gain amplifier providing 20dB gain from 500 kHz to 30 MHz. The 700DTA is housed in an aluminum high pressure die-cast case with superior electromagnetic shielded performance. The range knob selects: 0.5-1.6, 1.6-4, 4-10, 7-20 and 12-30 MHz bands. The supplied telescopic antenna (6-23 inch) plugs into a BNC jack on top of the unit. Output to the receiver is a female 50 ohm BNC jack. This antenna is supplied with a 10 foot BNC male to BNC male coaxial cable. Operation is from a 9 volt [1604A] battery.
