![]() The West Mountain Radio RIGblaster plug & play, unlike the other RIGblasters, is designed to connect through a radio's data jack. The mic. jack makes standard RIGblasters universally compatible with over 2000 different radios. Using the mic. jack allows fully automatic switching between a mic. and a computer and proper operation regardless of mode or band. The new plug & play easily connects to an accessory or data jack on the rear of a radio but the operation can be limited by how the radio manufacturer designed their jack. If your radio has a data jack that allows operation on the bands and modes you wish, while supporting proper interaction with the microphone, a RIGblaster plug & play is a great choice. The RIGblaster plug & play connects to the computer by USB providing Windows® "Plug and Play"™ installation. The entire installation is as easy as it possibly could be: one plug to the radio; USB and sound for the computer. A built-in USB to serial converter provides T/R switching, CW keying and CAT/CI-V rig control. The RIGblaster plug & play is universally compatible on over 25 modes of operation and with every ham radio sound card program. In contrast, other USB sound card interfaces only work properly with the very few amateur radio sound card programs that allow audio device selection. The plug & play has fully isolated audio and keying, runs from USB power, and it is rugged and compact with a built in TTL level CAT or CI-V rig control interface. A special feature for Echolink provides carrier detect on CTS, DSR and DCD. A CW keying output is controlled via USB to serial.
Complete with USB cable, computer audio, and a plug & play CD ROM. Please note that most radios will require an additional Data Jack Adapter cable as listed below. Reminder: Do not plug in the RigBlaster's USB cable until after you have done the driver installation.
