Wideband Antenna
The NTi MA305FT MegActiv receives from 9 kHz to 300 MHz. It is an evolution of the earlier MegActiv MA305. In addition to small improvements in electronics, the new MegActiv MA305FT has been equipped with a switchable FM band-stop filter. Thus, disturbing radiation from the FM band between 88 and 108 MHz can be easily minimized.
The new MegActiv MA305FT closes the gap between the Boni-Whip and the GigActiv GA3005 E-Field Antennas. This low noise active antenna, which is produced to the highest standards, covers the frequency range between 9kHz and 300MHz. With a radiating element of only 8.7 inches (22 cm) it can be erected inconspicuously. It can be powered with 5-15 V DC (max. 10mA) and alternatively with the supplied Dual Power unit CPI 1000DP via USB.
It also comes with NTi CPI1000DP power inserter. This inserter accepts the 11-15 VDC power that will travel up the coax cable to power the antenna. The inserter features a BNC antenna jack for coax from the antenna element and a BNC jack output to the receiver. It features a jack for DC power input 11-15 VDC (max 40 mA). The CPI1000DP dual power unit so it can be powered by either a conventional DC power supply or via USB. Powering via USB has the advantage that no external power supply is needed and that the antenna can be operated independently and noise-free with a separate USB power supply. The supply voltage range is 5 – 15V DC (10mA max) and thus the antenna is also well suited for portable use.
