 Buttercup Friend: David Kyles, WO4V ex. N4VNZ - USA I am terribly sad to report that Buttercup became a SK on August 10, 2011 at about 3 PM CST. Buttercup suffered a stroke a few hours before this, and the vet said nothing could be done. He died peaceably in my arms after and injection to put him out of his misery. He had not been feeling well for some time and we all believed it was arthritis and getting older. Buttercup is missed terribly by myself and my XYL Joni, W4JNI and his "little sister" Missy. At the time of his death, he weighed about 23 pounds and was between 10 and 14 years old. He was a British Shorthair and apparently quite a radio buff, for one of his favorite pastimes was watching me operate. His absence from the shack is conspicuous. 73 old friend, I miss your more than you can imagine. |
