The Sangean ATS-803A was one of the most popular shortwave portables ever made. Its performance was and is excellent for its price range, although its clicking sound as the VFO tunes was always distracting. This full coverage receiver features keypad entry, digital display, both bass and treble and a BFO for SSB/CW. There is a flip-stand and RCA antenna jack on the rear panel. The left side panel has 3.5mm ear phone jack and DIN record output jack. The top panel has switches for dial lamp, timer and sleep.
