AM/FM/SW3 Receiver
The Selena B215 receiver with analog display tunes LW (150-285 kHz), AM, FM and five SW bands covering: 17.5-18, 15-15.5, 9.5-9.9 and 6-7.3 MHz. Note that the bands tune "backwards" from what we are use to. There is a dial lamp switch on the radio. It has an S-Meter. There are separate bass and treble controls. The right side has a band selection knob. The rear panel has the battery door and antenna terminals and jacks for recording. This radio operates from 220 VAC or 6 D cells. The band switch is noisy. This radio was made in the former U.S.S.R. S/N 403016.  [06/10]

Shortwave Receiver
The Selena VEGA B212 is a shortwave receiver made in the U.S.S.R. This analog radio displays the frequencies in meters. It has a band selection switch on the right side. The rear panel of the radio has jacks for Record Out and Earphone as well as antenna/ground terminals. This radio plays well from six D cells (not supplied). We believe the set is currently wired for 220 Volts, but we do not have the AC cord and cannot confirm this. [04/06]

Shortwave Receiver
The Selena VEF-214 is a shortwave receiver made in Latvia. This analog radio displays the frequencies in meters. It has a band selection switch on the right side that selects:   AB [LW], CB [MW], KB1 [25 M], KB2 [31 M], KB3 [49 M] and YKB [Russian FM band 65.8-74 MHz]. The left side of the radio has jacks for Record Out and Earphone. The rear panel antenna/ground jacks and a battery compartment for six D cells (not supplied) and operates from 120 VAC with supplied cord. Also has a photo copy of manual of the similar VEF 215-217 which is in Russian/English. The product label indicates the model (and other stuff ... but who knows?). Plays well, but some scratchiness in controls. A great radio for your next vacation to Irkutsk. [04/06]
