The Philips L3X09T/97 has an analog display that reads 'higher to lower' frequency (but lower to higher in wavelength). It features three bands of coverage: MW, SW1 17-7 MHz and SW2 5-1.9 MHz. The right side features a Motorola jack for required SW antenna. this radio does not feature a telescopic whip! The The left side has an earphone jack. The rear panel has battery compartment. The battery cover is clean. Operates from four D cells (not supplied). This early 60s, solid-state radio was actually made in Holland. The bottom has the model number tag. S/N 37088. No manual, but page from Internet. Sounds nice, but controls scratchy, as to be expected. [03/11] |

The Philips FM-AM DE LUXE L6X38T/02 has an analog display. It features band buttons for FM 88-108 MHz, LW 150-400 kHz, MW 530-1600 kHz, SW1 16.2-27.5, SW2 8-15.8, SW3 4.5-8, SW4 1.7-4.6 MHz. A flip-down cover protects the dial. The left side of the radio has the FM tuning knob for the FM band which is along to top of the radio. The right side has the tuning knob for the other bands. There is separate bass and treble controls. The rear panel has multiple I/O jacks and a battery compartment. The top antenna segment pulls out. No box or manual. Made in Holland. [08/08] |
